My name is Bonnie Oesch. I have been married to my husband Mike for 15 years. We have four kids: Elijah (11), Simon (9), Leah and Phoebe (twins, 5). I fell in love with the Spanish language when I was in high school and took it for four years in high school. I also studied it in college and double majored in English Technical Writing and Spanish. After that I moved I Kansas City, MO to go to law school where I met my husband, got married and started a family. I did not care for the practice of law but after my kids got older I wanted to go back to work in some capacity and I looked into teaching, It turned out that my sons’ school was in need of a Spanish teacher. I now teach at my sons’ school two days a week and the other days I am excited to be teaching little ones to love this beautiful language, too.

I love the Spanish language because of its simplicity and beauty. It is often so much simpler to say things in Spanish that take many more words in English. I also think it is such a blessing for children to learn Spanish at a young age. It is often easier for children to learn the language since their brains are still developing and because children are not as reluctant as older people to simply try even if they sound a little silly at first. It is one of the main reasons I love teaching and being around young people.
